It was an intimate beginning
Each with their own ulterior motives
She wore a beautiful form-fitting short red dress
That revealed her well contoured legs
He arrived in a pair of tailor made slacks, paired with a grey button down shirt
Accentuated with black blazer and Stacy Adams
She was dressed to draw attention to herself
And make her intentions plain and simple
His attire was impeccable
Making his appearance leave something to the imagination
He pulled out her chair with a gentleman's touch
Then proceeded to take the seat across from her
She spoke in a hushed tone as to emit delicacy
He was forward and in control throughout the encounter
Then without warning he drew his attention directly to her
He had no interest in participating in her well thought plan
Instead he wanted her to be upfront and honest
He stated, I have no time for games
She regrouped and changed her tone
Determined not to be outdone
Adjusted her tone an octave
And spoke with exquisite clarity so nothing could be misinterpreted
They began with their current place in life
He explained his take on politics and education
She retorted on how she was furthering her education
Without being politically acclimated to any particular situation
He shared his goals for the future including his plan for preparation
Including all the pitstops he intended to make along the way
She was excited about her own future
Finding it refreshing that he cared enough to listen or inquire
As they sat sipping coffee and sharing an occasional laugh
Both realized that there was more than just a dinner at the table
He noted her maturity and self-confidence in the way she spoke
She admired his strength and determination for being more than just ordinary
As he escorted her to where she was parked, there was admiration in his heart
For he felt he could embark on a adventurous journey with this beautiful creature
Being unafraid to make his intetions known, he was prepared for whatever hand was dealt
And he just went for it and stated his claim with remarkable confidence
Initially she was not quite prepared for the detour the evening took
But while taking this casual stroll with this gentleman
She was assured of one thing, she wanted to know more of this specimen
And she was prepared for where ever this venture took her emotionally
As they approached her vehicle, he made light of the situation
He moved in and tenderly placed a soft, gentle kiss along her cheek
It was the most romantic first date gesture she had ever encountered
And it practically made her feel as if she was in a parallel dimension
As he was about to remove his muscular structure from her personal space
She would be the one to close the space planting more than just a casual peck
But instead providing him with a kiss so seductive that all he could do was exhale
And ensure that she was secured safely within her vehicle before turning away
She knew as she watched him make his exit that there would be another beginning
And he knew that this encounter would be the beginning of something
Exactly what he wasn't sure but he was excited about discovering what it was
So with each step he thinking of her and she thinking of him, they smiled at the anticipation of something new

Infamous Firsts
Coming into my own was somewhat of a bumpy ride. I actually had no preplanned intentions. I just managed to stumble into it. As for our I stumbled, nonw that's a whole other story. My senior year I had watched some of my closest friends practically lose their rational minds after encountering sex. I just didn't get it. They were acting all crazy and making some prettty irrational decisions regarding how they were approaching our last year of high school. After watchign so many of them faulter, I decided that I would take a ride on the sex roller coaster. My first missionw as to find some harmless victim who would willing give it up without giving me a hard time. So that's where my mission began.
Prom was coming up in a month or so. I had no real prospects that I was considering. I thought about a couple of dudes in my neighborhood but to be frankly honest, I didn't like those cats. They were more trouble than they were worth and they didn't have a pot to piss in. So I decided to venture beyond the neighborhood and see what else was out there. I thought about taking this dude that came to my house all the time with his mom. I knew because my mom was his mother's personal seamstress. He was nice enough but wasn't from my side of town. He wasn't a bad looking guy either. He kept himself in good shape and was definitely easy on the eyes. As time progressed and I got up the nerve to pose the question, I would discover that he already had plans that weekend and was unavailable. So there I was back to square one.
As I continued to look at my options, I discovered that I had not considered someone I had known forever. Not only could I possible score a date to the prom, but I could also do the deed and get it over with possibly. So we started casually socializing outside the norm. Passing notes and that's when I discovered that he had broke up with the chick across the hall from me. She wasn't the right girl for him anyway. She was a little pushy and loud. I knew her and couldn't imagine how he got hooked up with her. But first let me take you back to the beginning.
This guy I was speaking of was like my best friend. I had met him when I changed schools in 7th grade. I had no friends and the girls in the neighborhood were constantly wanting to fight me because of how I looked. Supposedly it was a criminal offense to be blessed with wavy long hair. Anyway, I didn't make any attempts to befriend the bitches because they just kept up too much shit. So I drifted toward a few friends, mostly guys, who seemed harmless enough. But some of them would be dropped as well when they kept trying to hit a homerun with me. My mother had put enough fear in me to deter that from happening.
Anyway back to my best friend. I liked him well enough because he was easy going and he didn't get into any mayhem. We talked alot both at school and as time progressed, on the phone as well. I talked him about everything. He was a good listener too. When we went to high school, we shared lockers and had the same homeroom for whole stay. I only had to move out the locker once and that's when he dated this girl for a little while during our junior year. But it didn't last long because they didn't. Once she was out of the picture, I reclaimed my space back in his locker and his life. In our senior year, we started talking more than usual on the phone and before I knew it, he was inviting me to attend the prom as his date. There was no way I was turning him down. I had an ulterior motive and I figured what better person to embark on that journey than with someone I knew and knew well.
We made the necessary plans for the prom. You know: color, dinner plans, afterparties, etc. Then all of a sudden we seemed to be moving in a different direction. As the day fast approaches, our plans come together and the two of us are excited about the special day. The day of the prom, I get my hair done and start to prepare for his arrival. My mom and aunts were primping over me something aweful. When they were done, it was picture time. I took pictures to record the moment because they knew that dress up was not my thing. My date/best friend arrived just right on time. He looked smashing all decked out in his white tux. I didn't know what to expect from this night but I did plan to have fun. Especially since this year, my date actually showed up. But that's another story for another time.
Our prom night began like most with dinner at Red Lobster. We enjoyed a beautiful meal and then headed off to the hotel where the prom was being held. As we entered the ballroom, we got there just in time to take our prom pictures and participate in the senior walk. We mingled with our classmates and even danced a bit considering neither one of us was a dancer. After we made our rounds, we decided to exit stage left. When we got back to the car, we decided to exchange notes about the afterparties. There were quite a few scheduled and we decided that we would try to hit at least two of them because we knew the people throwing them.
As we made our first pitstop, our conversation became intimate. Before I knew it, we were engaged in a passionate lip lock. It was a really nice kiss. More than what I expected from him. I guess because I never looked at him that way. So here we were and looked like things were getting kind of heated. Before I knew anything, I was in the back seat of the Lincoln with my dress over my head getting my candy store raided. And boy did it get raided!?! The experience was interesting enough but it wasn't enough to turn me into a raving lunatic. Instead it just compelled me to want to figure this thing out on a larger scale basis. Which in time, I would.....

Something Silly
Last night I danced under the moonlit night
In a too small tutu with a pair of fairy wings
Made of plastic bags and simple wire-framed hangers
Along with a tiara threaded together with dandelion weeds
And toting a wand that seemed similar to that of a spade
As I did my dance under the moonlit sky
I discovered that I'd forgotten to grab a jacket
See in my distorted ambition to frolic during the night
I never took the time to realize
That I wore no shoes on the snow covered ground
In a too small tutu with a pair of fairy wings
Made of plastic bags and simple wire-framed hangers
Along with a tiara threaded together with dandelion weeds
And toting a wand that seemed similar to that of a spade
As I did my dance under the moonlit sky
I discovered that I'd forgotten to grab a jacket
See in my distorted ambition to frolic during the night
I never took the time to realize
That I wore no shoes on the snow covered ground
